The training aimed to promote the adoption of a Karzay lifestyle, which emphasizes ethical and sustainable food choices, while also striving to reduce practices associated with a Marzay lifestyle. We organized with a focus on traditional values and modern dietary awareness, the training brought together monks, local residents, and culinary enthusiasts to explore healthier and more responsible food preparation techniques. Participants engaged in hands-on cooking sessions, discussions on sustainable sourcing of ingredients, and the cultural significance of mindful eating. Experts highlighted the importance of plant-based diets, locally sourced foods, and reducing food waste as key aspects of the Karzay way of life. By the end of the training, attendees were awarded certificates in recognition of their dedication and commitment to embracing a Karzay lifestyle expressing a deeper appreciation for ethical culinary practices and a renewed commitment to making food choices that align with sustainability and compassion.
